Looking down on Mildred Lake as I'm hiking over a ridge to Dorothy Lake
Dorothy Lake sits at about 10,300 feet elevation. It was probably mid 60s when I arrived in the afternoon and dropped to about 20F during the night.
Kicked back agains a big log watching the setting sun transform the lake.
It was cooling down quickly as the sun was setting, so I had partially bundled up as I sat at the edge of the lake absorbing the view.
There's quite a bit of repetition starting with this photo, because I had various angles that looked slightly different as the light changed.
The moon was full and rose just after dark and didn't set till after the sun was up the next morning. The moonlight was so bright that I could look at the lake and see a full reflection of the peaks...the entire night!!
